Seattle Pacific Reachout INTernational (SPRINT) connects students to effective models of community development in an opportunity to learn and serve outside the United States.  Through a unique global engagement and service trip model, SPRINT students learn first-hand from leaders engaged in significant ministry in their communities and encourage others through their service.

This summer, SPRINT 2015 teams will learn and serve alongside community leaders in Brazil, Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Indonesia and Rwanda.

SPRINT 2015 team members were selected in January and teams formed in February. Students will spend the rest of the school year in preparation for their summer experience. Together, they will work on building a strong team, fundraising, learning about their host country and communicating with their in-country host partners.  In Spring Quarter, all SPRINT 2015 teams are enrolled in an academic training class. This time gives the students an opportunity to consider appropriate roles for Western short-term service volunteers, explore the value of cultural diversity and study the principles of Christian Community Development.  Throughout this process students will be encouraged to integrate lessons learned abroad through SPRINT into their daily lives, academic plans and future decision-making.  Learn more about this process at http://www.spu.edu/sprint.
